Students are assigned the roles of diplomats representing different countries in negotiating and debating specific topics in line with the UN Rules of Procedures. By modeling the United Nations (MUN) the course aims to facilitate and encourage knowledge of international affairs and negotiations, to promote understanding of multilateral conference rules of procedure, and to help students develop public speaking and research skills.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the module is designed to provide students with an introduction to the UN as an institution, its role in international affairs, and the role of diplomats in the decision-making process.
